Raymond Martinez

Financial Adviser

Raymond established M&A Wealth to give clients financial advice that is personalised, strategic, and built around their real circumstances. After seeing too much advice built around sales-driven thinking and disconnected recommendations, he set out to create a privately owned firm that would do things differently, with clients at the centre and strategy leading every conversation.

He takes a highly tailored approach to advice, grounded in the understanding that no two clients are the same. Holding a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, he works with the understanding that every person comes with their own goals, pressures, opportunities, and financial position, which means every advice journey should reflect that. Rather than relying on generic recommendations, he builds strategies that are specific, considered, and aligned with what matters most to each client.

A big part of Raymond’s approach is helping clients feel comfortable from the very first meeting. He understands that finance touches every part of life, and that it can often feel overwhelming or unnecessarily complicated. By creating a space where clients feel at ease and supported, he encourages open conversations that lead to a deeper understanding of their position, and ultimately, better advice.

His philosophy is simple: put the client at the centre of their financial universe and build the strategy accordingly. Tax minimisation, superannuation, asset protection, retirement planning, personal insurance, estate planning, and investment management are not treated as separate conversations. They are connected parts of one broader picture, with the right tools selected to support the strategy, not the other way around.

In his life outside the business, Raymond has played football for around 30 years and still enjoys the game today. He is also a proud father, and says becoming a parent has shifted his perspective in a meaningful way. Family plays a central role in how he sees life, and that sense of care and responsibility carries through into the way he works with clients.
